Oyster Island and Espiritu Santo Island, Vanuatu

Made it up the waterfall! It is a truly magical place isn't it? Surprisingly, it isn't slippery plus we had 'grippy' gloves as well as our reef walking shoes to make the walk up the cascades quite easy. After a few hundred metres we headed inland though the jungle along a wet slippery muddy track which was MUCH harder to navigate. Our guide told us about many of the plants: which were edible, used as medicines, poisonous etc which we found quite interesting.   Select the photo below to see more of the area. We were back in time for another shower (to get the mud off) then looking foward to lunch. This place has a good chef! Week 1 was action packed and we looked forward to more sedate activities like snorkelling and kayaking in Week 2!
